And I found some coffins in the middle of huge river sands.. I assumed that people wanted flood of the river to carry the coffin to the holy river of Ganges.. for the good of the deads..
Peter's Passage to India comprizes lots of photos taken in India while he was traveling from Mumbai to Chennai and further down to Pondicherry. Specifically travelling by express for round-trip between Mumbai and Chennai gave him a good chance to take awesome pictures. *PETER's Photo Odyssey © All rights reserved.

沙 Crossing the huge sand river, Chennai Express 2006
As I was sitting in the entrance step of the express train which was running really slow crossing the steel bridge, I felt like I am sitting in the fFnland sauna.. So hot and dry..
And I found some coffins in the middle of huge river sands.. I assumed that people wanted flood of the river to carry the coffin to the holy river of Ganges.. for the good of the deads..

砂漠...
yes it was a desert with such fine sand.. and I found couple of coffins buried in the middle of dried sand river. When there is a flood in the rainy season the coffins might be baptized like the ones in ganzes.
